Hydrangea aspera "Huge leaf JCRA" (rough leaved hydrangea) is a large, deciduous shrub with very large, green leaves and large lace cap type blue/white flowers. Hydrangea aspera "Huge leaf JCRA" was given to us by the J C Raulston Arboretum with the name "Huge leaf". We know very little about it, but even as small plants, the leaves are much larger than is typical of Hydrangea aspera. We have not yet seen flowers on Hydrangea aspera "Huge leaf JCRA" but would expect the same as the species. Hydrangea aspera "Huge leaf JCRA" is best grown in shade to part shade in moist, well draining soil and given room to develop since it will become fairly large in time.
