Magnolia x 'Fancy Dude' RARE

Magnolia x 'Fancy Dude' is a small, deciduous tree with green leaves broadly margined in off white/yellow.  Magnolia x 'Fancy Dude' is a stunning variegated sport of 'Big Dude' found by Ron Rabbideux (Rarefind Nursery) and is at its best in the Spring, where it glows in the garden.  With Summer heat, the color on 'Fancy Dude' fades to a pastel green.  I've had my original plant in the garden for at least 10 years now and its only about 6' tall - it will get larger with time, but isn't fast.  This is a RARE tree for the collector of RARE, variegated plants.  We only have 3 available - it is proven to be very difficult for us to propagate and this is the first time we've ever had any available.  Not sure when we will have another crop.  Magnolia x 'Fancy Dude' deserves prime placement in your garden so you can enjoy its amazing Spring foliage display.
