Acer palmatum 'Abigail Rose' is semi-dwarf with green leaves with broad, bright pink margins in the spring and becomes more green with narrower pinkish white margins in the summer.  Acer palmatum 'Abigail Rose' is a STUNNING compact Japanese maple that almost appears to be a flowering shrub in the spring due to the beautiful, bright pink margined leaves!  Acer palmatum 'Abigail Rose' is a dwarf form of Acer palmatum 'Higasayama' and deserves a prime spot in a woodland garden.  Acer palmatum 'Abigail Rose' performs best with some afternoon shade and is a fantastic addition to the spring colored Japanese maples.  Acer palmatum 'Abigail Rose' turns bright shades of red, orange red in the fall.
