Acer palmatum 'Kurui Jishi' is a unique Japanese maple where the sides of the foliage curls up, similar to that of 'Okushimo'. The difference is that 'Kurui Jishi' is much smaller and the leaves are a lot more dense. Expect this Japanese maple to reach 6-8 ft in height and width in 15 years. Fall color can range from golden yellow to a brilliant orange. The name 'Kurui Jishi' translates as confused or crazy lion.
