Acer palmatum 'Ariadne' is semi-dwarf spreading shrub or small tree with coppery orange pink leaves with green veins in the spring turning to purplish red leaves with red veins in the summer.  Acer palmatum 'Ariadne' is showy, but not gaudy in the spring with its coppery pink leaves with green veins.  Acer palmatum 'Ariadne' is semi-dwarf and makes a wonderful shrub or small tree in time and can be used as a small specimen in a woodland garden or in a large container.  Acer palmatum 'Ariadne' exhibits best color with abundant morning light and afternoon shade.  Acer palmatum 'Ariadne'  turns brilliant pinkish orange and glows in the autumn garden.
