Acer palmatum 'Chishio Improved' Red Japanese Maple

‘Chisio Improved', sometimes referred to as "Shin Chisio", is a beautiful Japanese maple. Everyone needs this amazingly brilliant Japanese maple in their garden.  The spring color ranges from a bright pink-red to a bright red. The color is so amazing that 'Chisio Improved' appears to  be blooming with the colors layered on top of one another . This color may last for a several weeks. By mid to late spring, the color on 'Chisio Improved' has matured to a pleasant green-red. During the summer, the green foliage serves as a nice background for the red new growth. Fall color on 'Chisio Improved' can range from orange to red. 'Chisio Improved' may reach 10-12 ft in 10 years.
