Acer palmatum 'Tamukeyama' is a red weeping laceleaf Japanese maple tree that is very hardy and a vigorous grower. 'Tamukeyama' leaves emerge in the early spring a deep burgundy. 'Tamukeyama' Japanese maple is know for its ability to hold its dark red color into the summer months. Tamukeyama turns a bright scarlet red in the fall. 

 Acer palmatum 'Tamukeyama' habit is cascading with an umbrella shape. Due to its late  spring leaf emergence, 'Tamukeyama' is a great cold hardy selection, since it typically misses the late freezes we tend to get here in North Carolina. If we need needed one more reason to love this weeping beauty, it also excels in high heat and is full sun tolerant. Its a fabulous addition to your yard.
