'Wolff' is a spectacular form of Japanese maple with black-red bark covered in dark red foliage that turns an electric scarlet in fall. With leaves budding out later in spring, it has a better chance of withstanding damage from late frosts. Plant in the full sun to get the most intense color. This is the perfect Japanese maple if you want it as a colorful center piece in smaller landscapes. Deciduous.
