Acer serrulatum is a distinctly dainty slow-growing tree usually reaching 15ft to 18ft in 15 to 20 years. Acer serrulatum has wonderfully colorful glossy five-lobed leaves that turn a brilliant crimson-bronze in the autumn, on dark slender stems. Best grown in a moist well drained soil in part shade to full sun. Also known as
A. oliverianum ssp.
