Camellia 'Koku-Ryu'
Camellia japonica 'Koku-Ryu' has dark maroon-red, rose-form double flowers with green foliage. Camellia japonica 'Koku-Ryu' is slow growing and compact with occasional random splashes of variegation throughout the foliage. Camellia japonica 'Koku-Ryu' is slow growing but fast enough to make a nice plant in a few years - well worth the wait! In our opinion the best of the really dark colored camellias. Camellia japonica 'Koku-Ryu' is great as a specimen or can be used in mass plantings in shade to part shade.
