Carex 'Feather Falls'

Carex 'Feather Falls' has stunning evergreen foliage with broad white margins.  When I saw Carex 'Feather Falls' at a garden center in Christchurch, NZ in 2019, it was love at first sight!!!  It took an additional two years to finally get plants in the USA and Carex 'Feather Falls' has performed even better than I could ever have dreamed.  Garden Treasures Nursery is primarily a rare woody nursery and my first love has always been woody plants.  Carex 'Feather Falls' has moved in my TOP 5 all time favorite plants!  Our entire staff is smitten by the amazing versatility this awesome plant has!  Carex 'Feather Falls' is STUNNING in mass plantings, as a ground cover, used as a stand alone specimen, and even great in a hanging basket (it looks almost like a Chlorophytum - spider plant, but much nicer and HARDY outside in our zone 7/8 climate)  Carex 'Feather Falls' is at its best in part shade and moisture retentive soil, but will tolerate sunnier and drier conditions - it is just smaller.  Carex 'Feather Falls' will certainly brighten up a shady area in your garden and I truly can not image a garden without this AWESOME plant!  Yes, from a woody plant nerd, this is very high praise!
