Hypericum androsaemum 'Glacier'

Hypericum androsaemum 'Glacier' (St. John's wort) is an evergreen/semi evergreen small shrub with green leaves heavily marbled with pink and white.  Hypericum androsaemum 'Glacier' adds a beautiful pastel splash of color with its green leaves heavily marbled with white and pink (pink more intense on newest growth) and bright golden flowers which are in stark contrast to the pastel foliage.  Hypericum androsaemum 'Glacier' is great in mass plantings, a 3-4' tall border, or as a specimen in partially shaded to full sun areas, that are well drained that don't become overly dry.  Hypericum androsaemum 'Glacier' responds well to heavy pruning and can be cut back late Winter and again in early Summer if you want a lower, bushier plant with more pink color (heavy pruning may prevent flowers from being produced).  Hypericum androsaemum 'Glacier' is evergreen in warmer zones and may be deciduous in colder areas.
