Ilex x 'Phillip Watson'

Ilex x 'Phillip Watson' is a large evergreen shrub with green leaves with yellow margins  Ilex x 'Phillip Watson' is variegated mutation from the ever popular Ilex x 'Nellie R. Stevens' and appears to be the most stable yellow margined selection (there are several from 'Nellie R. Stevens') and is much slower growing than 'Nellie R. Stevens'.  In time it will make a large shrub or small tree and can easily be pruned to desired size and shape.  Ilex x 'Phillip Watson' would make a beautiful hedge or specimen and will certainly brighten up your landscape with its bright yellow variegated leaves.
