Magnolia x 'Betty' is a deciduous large shrub to medium sized tree with large, pink/lavender flowers in spring and typically flowers late enough to avoid cold damage. Magnolia x 'Betty' makes a bold specimen or group planting with its large, pinkish lavender (or reddish purple in cooler weather) flowers in spring. Magnolia x 'Betty' is one of the "Little Girl" hybrids released by the US National Arboretum many years ago and is one of the best of the group.
