Morus alba 'Itsogumo' aka 'Nuclear Blast'

Morus alba 'Itsogumo' aka 'Nuclear Blast'  (white mulberry) is a small, deciduous shrub with extremely narrow, threadlike leaves.  Morus alba 'Itsogumo' is one of the strangest plants we grow in our gardens due to its EXTREMELY narrow leaves (more like strings) that turn soft butter yellow in the fall.  Morus alba 'Itsogumo' looks a lot like Acer palmatum 'Koto no ito' but has even narrower leaves. Morus alba 'Itsogumo' is fairly fast growing, but stays small and shrubby and responds well to heavy pruning if you want to keep in 2-3 feet tall.  Morus alba 'Itsogumo' will add a totally unique texture to your garden and is stunning as a single specimen or as a mass planting.
