Osmanthus x fortunei 'Carl Wheeler' (tea olive) is an outstanding evergreen shrub. Osmanthus x fortunei 'Carl Wheeler' has small, white, fragrant flowers in the fall and makes a great mass planting, hedge, or specimen. Osmanthus x fortunei 'Carl Wheeler' is my favorite Osmanthus x fortunei cultivars due to its sharply margined, glossy, deep green leaves and compact growth habit.
