Rhododendron (Azalea) 'Vibrant'

Rhododendron (Azalea) 'Vibrant' is a small, evergreen shrub with large salmon colored flowers.  When we first saw Rhododendron 'Vibrant' is Tony Avent's Garden (Plant Delights Nursery) we were blown away by the floral presence!  I'm not a giant fan of azaleas, but every now and then, one catches my attention (you will see we have a few varieties available that are all very unusual and unique) and Rhododendron 'Vibrant' was certainly one of these - with an abundance of very large, striking, salmon bicolored flowers!  WOW!  Rhododendron 'Vibrant' tends to have a rather open, leggy growth habit and would be best with some pruning, while smaller, to develop a more densely branched plant.  Rhododendron 'Vibrant' certainly lives up to its name and is a great addition to a bright woodland garden and would be great in a mass planting or as a specimen.
