Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink'
Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink'
Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink' (Thunberg's spirea) is a deciduous shrub with small, green, willow-like, leaves and small white flowers. Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink' is one of my personal favorite spring blooming plants in the garden. When most other plants are still sleeping, Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink' bursts into bloom with myriads of small pale pink flowers. Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink' makes a beautiful spreading mound in the garden and does something that very few other plants do: sways gently with even the slightest wind movement and gives animation to an another wise static garden. Truly stunning! Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink' is best in a sunny spot where it will produce the most flowers. Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink' is great in mass plantings or as a specimen.
