Stachyurus salicifolia

Stachyurus salicifolia is an evergreen shrub with very long green leaves with racemes of greenish white flowers.  Stachyurus salicifolia is a great evergreen shrub that has a very elegant appearance with its graceful weeping habit and extremely narrow and long leaves.  The flowers of Stachyurus salicifolia are produced in long racemes that are interesting even in bud, then open to a greenish white color and eventually changing to a off white and persist for a fairly long time.  Stachyurus salicifolia requires well drained soil with adequate moisture and is best in a partially shaded site where it will make a stunning specimen  in time and also useful in mass plantings.
