    Acer oliverianum ssp formosanum is a very rare Japanese maple with coral pink new growth, then bright green in late spring, then a pink-red new flush of summer leaves.  Acer oliverianaum ssp. formosanum has golden orange fall color and is amoung the most heat tolerant of all Japanese maples.  An amazing small tree that colors well even in the SE USA.
