Acer palmatum 'Anne Irene' emerge with bright golden yellow leaves that can be outlined in a red feathered border. As the summer proceeds, the red border fades and the leaf turn a bright yellow. As the season turns to fall, leaf color becomes a bright red to deep maroon. 'Anne-Irene' should reach 6-8 ft in 15 years. 'Anne-Irene' was discover in Holland by Kwekerij van Son and Koot on 'Summer Gold' as a variegated sport.
