Acer palmatum 'Brocade' is a red, cut leaf Japanese maple that has orange-red new growth that darkens to red and then in summer becomes a reddish green. Fall color is typically orange. 'Brocade' is a very low growing cut leaf Japanese maple, and if left unstaked, it will basically be a ground cover. Stake when young to desired height and then let is cascade down from there. A remarkable plant and would be amazing if you have a high retaining wall to let it tumble down (or beside a waterfall).
- HARDINESS: zones 5-9
- EXPOSURE: part shade to sun
- SIZE: depends on how tall it is staked.
- SHIPPING SIZE: 1/2 gallon container. 10-12" plant.
