Acer palmatum 'Butterfly' is an  upright growing, variegated leaf Japanese maple and has unusual pinking red fall color.  Acer palmatum 'Butterfly' can produce all green branches that need to promptly be removed to preserve the beautiful variegated plant - the green branches will over grow the variegated.
