Acer palmatum 'Corallinum'  is one of the bright pink/red spring leaf Japanese maples.  This is a very old variety and is still one of the good ones!  In cooler climates, the spring leaves can be almost a fluorescent pink to salmon pink.  In warmer climates it tends to be more red.  It compact growth habit and outstanding spring display makes it valuable in any garden.  Red fall color rounds out the colorful season.
