Acer palmatum 'Cosmos' is a very heavily variegated Japanese maple with green leaves with splashes of pink and white all over them.  Acer palmatum 'Cosmos' shows variegation even in the summer and has vibrant orange fall color.  We don't see variegation now in late summer.  Not sure if it faded out or wasn't variegated this spring.
