Acer palmatum 'English Lace' is an upright growing, red leaf, dissected Japanese maple.  Most dissected Japanese maples are weeping - there are only a small number (2-3 maybe) that are "upright"  it is best to stake 'English Lace' when young to encourage it's upright growth habit.  Rarely available and truly a remarkable Japanese maple.
