As the fall rolls in expect the leaves of ‘Germaine’s Gyration’ to turn a golden yellow, that slowly turns to orange then as the temperature drops, a brilliant red. ‘Germaine’s Gyration’ claim to fame is that it's a pendulous dissectum with a very unusual twisting growth habit. This Japanese maple tree naturally contorts as it grows creating inner branches that swirl around the main trunk. ‘Germaine’s Gyration’ unique effect is magnified by the lateral branching.
