Acer palmatum 'Hana Matoi'

Acer palmatum 'Hana Matoi' is a slow growing, variegated, red, cut-leaf Japanese maple that is one of the most stunning Japanese maples I've ever seen  That being said, it is not easy to grow.  It tends to produce all red/bronze branches that need to be promptly removed to maintain the variegation.  Acer palmatum 'Hana Matoi' needs some protection from hot afternoon sun. Fall  color is red.
