Acer palmatum 'Hubble's Super Cork'

Acer palmatum 'Hubble's Super Cork' is a bit of a mystery for us.  I was checking on our maple stock plants one day, and there was a plant of 'Hubble's Super Cork,' - the mystery was - we never bought it or remember anyone giving it to us!  We are thrilled to have it regardless if Aliens dropped off from space to us!  'Hubble's Super Cork' produces an amazing amount of corking, even of fairly young plants.  Our stock plant in 3 gallon container already has fantastic corking.  We hope to offer this as a rooted cutting in the future for bonsai use.  As you can see in the photo - this plant is starting to produce cork as 1 year old plant.  Amazing!
