Acer palmatum 'Hubb's Red Willow' emerge in the early spring bright red string-like in  appearance that is reminiscent of bamboo.  As the leaves mature they widen slightly and the color turns a deeper maroon. As summer turns to fall, 'Hubb's Red Willow' Japanese maple leaves turn a brilliant shade of crimson red. 'Hubb's Red Willow' is a very fast grower for a Japanese maple. You should expect 'Hubb's Red Willow' to reach 10 to 12ft high in 10 to 12 years. 'Hubb's Red Willow' is an excellent bamboo linearilobum mid-sized Japanese maple that is perfect for any garden space.
