Acer palmatum 'Mama'

Acer palmatum 'Mama' is an unusual Japanese maple that is narrow, upright growing and has really odd leaves.  Some leaves are narrowly lobed, some wide lobed, some have a tattered appearance - nearly every leaf is different.  Acer palmatum 'Mama' almost appears lacy and delicate and makes an outstanding textural addition to the garden.
