Acer palmatum'Mikawa Yatsubusa' is a densely layered dwarf green Japanese maple. In the spring, the leaves emerge chartreuse green with a red sheath to the petiole. This dwarf beauty forms a nice shingle-like habit. 'Mikawa Yatsubusa' is extremely slow growing. Fall color on 'Mikawa Yatsubusa' is fiery red in the fall. 'Mikawa Yatsubusa' may reach 4-5 ft in 15 years. 'Mikawa Yatsubusa' is extremely heat tolerant making it a very hardy tree. 'Mikawa Yatsubusa' is perfect for container plants, small places in the garden, fairy gardens, bonsai and conifer troughs.
