'Tattoo' is one of the smallest growing of all the dwarf Japanese maples. This plant is a perfect choice for bonsai! 'Tattoo' has a tightly layered growing habit reaching 2 ft in height by 2-3 ft in width in 10 years. The leaf is more highly serrated than what you would see in other "Mikawa-types". Leaves emerge chartreuse yellow/green and turn to darker green for the summer. 'Tattoo' turns to an amazing yellow to orange in the fall. 'Tattoo' is excellent for containers, small spaces or fairy gardens.
