Acer palmatum 'Verkade's Jacus Potus'

Acer palmatum 'Verkade's Jacus Potus' is an unusual new selection of Japanese maple that doesn't have petioles on the leaves - the leaf blades come directly from the stem, creating a very feathery effect.  'Verkade's Jacus Potus' flushes burgundy that turn to green with coral tones for the summer.  The summer flush tends to be salmon colored and gives this plant a very special look.  Fall color is crimson.  An excellent, new selection that is sure to become a favorite to Japanese maple collectors!
