Acer palmatum 'Yuri Hime' is a deciduous, dwarf shrub with small reddish brown margined green leaves in the spring, turning to green in the summer.  Acer palmatum 'Yuri Hime' is one of the dwarfest Japanese maples and will very slowly reach 2-3' tall x 3' wide.  Acer palmatum 'Yuri Hime' would make a stunning addition to a partially shaded rock garden and great as a container plant.  Acer palmatum 'Yuri Hime' turns a rusty reddish bronze color in the fall.  Acer palmatum 'Yuri Hime' is one of my very favorite dwarf Japanese maples - the plant pictured here is nearly 20 years old and is about 2' tall x 3' wide.  Acer palmatum 'Yuri Hime' is rather difficult to graft so is rarely offered in the trade.
