Ardisia crenata

Ardisia crenata (Christmas Berry, Australian holly, Coralberry, Coral bush, Spiceberry) is evergreen with deep green leaves and masses of shiny red berries that persist year round.  Ardsia crenata is best grown in shade and is great in mass plantings or as a specimen planted in a location that its beautiful red berries can be appreciated.  Ardisia crenata is also great grown in a container (move to a protected area during the winter).  Ardisia crenata is above ground hardy into the teens f.  In warm coastal areas, Ardisia crenata can reseed and probably best grown as a container plant.
