Callicarpa dichotoma 'Duet'

Callicarpa dichotoma 'Duet' is a small deciduous shrub with green leaves broadly margined with white, and white berries.  Callicarpa dichotoma 'Duet' is a stunning variegated shrub that white variegated leaves as well as white berries.  Callicarpa 'Duet' is great to lighten up a shady spot in the garden and also grow well in the sun.  'Duet' can be cut back (almost to the ground) in late winter is you want to maintain a dense, compact plant, but it tends not to fruit as well after being cut back heavily.  Heavy pruning produces the best variegated foliage, no pruning favors production of more white berries that color in late Summer and often hold until mid Winter.  Callicarpa 'Duet' can be used as a specimen or in mass plantings.
