Callicarpa dichotoma 'Shiji Murasaki'

Callicarpa dichotoma 'Shiji Murasaki' (purple beautyberry) is a small growing deciduous shrub with stunning green leaves heavily mottled white with purplish pink veins and petioles and a few lavender flowers that rarely form fruit.  Callicarpa dichotoma 'Shiji Murasaki' makes a bold statement in a shaded woodland garden and is great in mass plantings or as a specimen.  Callicarpa dichotoma 'Shiji Murasaki' can be pruned back nearly to the ground in late winter to keep it smaller (and brighter colors).  Callicarpa dichotoma 'Shiji Murasaki' is one of most colorful plants we grow and a must have for variegated plant collectors.
