Camellia japonica 'Okan'

Camellia japonica 'Okan' is an evergreen shrub with large white flowers edged bright crimson.  Camellia japonica 'Okan' is one of the most spectacular Higo camellias I've ever seen!  'Okan' has large, single white flowers boldly edged bright crimson and each flower has a stunning, large mass of stamens (a Higo characteristic).  Camellia japonica 'Okan' is fairly slow growing and difficult to obtain propagation material, so rarely available.  Camellia japonica 'Okan' is by far our most requested variety and we almost never have any available.  Camellia japonica 'Okan' can be planted with other shrubs and camellia groves but is probably best as a specimen where its STUNNING flowers can be admired.   We have very limited availability and not sure when we will have another crop.  Thanks to Mike Chelednik for use of his photo.
