Camellia japonica 'Tama Ikari' has medium-sized single, pale pink (fading to white at the base of the petals) cultivar from Japan (name translates to "jewelled anchor"). Mildly fragrant. An early bloomer, at least in NC. No relation to the many seedlings of (and crosses involving) 'Tama-no-ura'. Thanks to Mike Chelednik for use of his photos.
