Camellia sinensis 'Tea Cup' is a very dwarf selection of tea camellia I made several years ago from a batch of Sochi tea seedlings. My oldest plant now is about 12 years old and is about 2' tall x 3' wide. 'Tea Cup' can be used to make your own green or black tea - you MIGHT get enough from an older plant to make a cup of tea per year! Perfect is you want to make a dainty cup of tea every year or 2!!! Yes, I'm laughing at that - but its true!) 'Tea Cup' hasn't produced a lot of flowers, but they are the typical, small white flowers you would see on other Camellia sinensis. This is for the serious collector of Camellia oddities. Probably too slow for most landscape situations, but would be awesome in a container - just don't leave outside during the winter if you live in a cold area. This has been incredibly difficult to propagate for some reason (tea Camellia is super easy usually) so very few available and a few years before we have more most likely. Plants pictured are 3-4 years old and this is what we are selling.
