Camellia x 'Xiameng Wenging' RARE!

Camellia x 'Xiameng Wenging' iso ne of the many Camellia azalea/changii hybrids created in China by Dr. Gao Jiyin. This particular cultivar is a cross between C. azalea/changii and C. x 'Dr. Clifford Parks' (which is itself a cross of C. reticulata and C. japonica).   This selection seems to have an upright, slightly spreading growth habit. Blooms are Very Large and produced sporadically from late July to February -March (in our climate).  This is one of the showier Gao hybrids - it definitely has the largest blooms.  Thanks to Mike Chelednik for use of his photo.
