Carpinus betulus 'Nana Columnaris'

Carpinus betulus 'Nana Columnaris' is an extremely narrow and slow growing variety of European hornbeam.  Carpinus betulus 'Nana Columnaris' is the perfect plant for a very narrow space or anyplace you need a slow growing accent plant.  Carpinus betulus 'Nana Columnaris' is extremely slow growing - under good conditions you might get 6" per year but commonly less than that.  Thanks to Mike Chelednik for use of his photo.
