Chioanthus retusus 'Tokyo Tower' is a Chinese fringetree that was selected for it's upright growth habit. As 'tokyo Tower' ages, it does get much wider, but still maintains the upright look to the plant overall. 'Tokyo Tower' has multitudes of white flowers in the spring and usually has decent yellow fall color. All our fringetrees are grafted onto Chionanthus retusus to prevent the suckering issues with Chionanthus virginicus.
