Cleyera japonica 'Hosaba Fukurin' (aka 'Tricolor')

Cleyera japonica 'Hosaba Fukurin' (aka 'Tricolor')  (Japanese cleyera) is a small evergreen shrub with yellow, green, and red variegated leaves.  Cleyera japonica 'Tricolor'  (NOT to be confused with Ternstroemia which is almost always called Cleyera) makes a colorful, slow growing, evergreen shrub that is great in mass plantings or as a specimen.  Cleyera japonica 'Tricolor' is best sited in a partially shaded area to produce the best color.  The red coloration is more pronounced in the winter.
