Cornus quinquenervis is a deciduous shrub with green leaves and small white flowers.  Cornus quinquenervis is rarely offered and is a most "un-dogwood" looking dogwood - I doubt you would look at it and guess its a dogwood.  Stumped me the first time I saw it!  Cornus quinquenervis makes a small shrub with small deeply veined leaves and small clusters of white flowers that attract pollinators.  There is very little information available on this unique Cornus species but I've seen in in fairly heavy shade to full sun and is slow growing.  Cornus quinquenervis could be used in mass plantings or as a specimen and appears to be at home in woodland gardens or sunny areas.
