Cryptomeria japonica 'Araucariodes'

Cryptomeria japonica 'Araucariodes' is a conifer with a sparsely branching growth habit.  Cryptomeria japonica 'Araucariodes' is one of the wildest looking plants (especially when its young) I've ever seen with its very sparsely branched growth habit and long, whipcord like branches.  If you are a collector of really weird plants, then Cryptomeria japonica 'Araucariodes' is exactly the plant for you!  Personally, I love it and can't image not having it in my garden (we have a few planted).  Cryptomeria japonica 'Araucariodes' is probably best used as a specimen, but I can image a small group planting would be awesome and it for sure will draw lots of attention in your garden!
