Cupressus cashmeriana is a fast growing, evergreen tree with silvery blue green needles and with age, the branches and branchlets droop down to create a weeping appearance to the tree. I've seen a MASSIVE Kashmir Cypress that was a very ancient tree growing in the lake regions of Italy that was so stunning that the image is permanently burned into my brain. These are seedling grown plants will grow very quickly. Best in areas without extremely cold winters. There are a couple of nice large plants of Cupressus cashmeriana in the Raleigh, NC area, but I think we are right on the edge of cold hardiness for this tree. Arguable on of the most stunning conifers with age!!! I think the secret to growing all Cupressus is WELL draining soil. They will rot quickly in wet soil.
