Escallonia 'Iveyi'

Escallonia 'Iveyi' is an evergreen shrub with small green leaves and clusters of small white flowers.  Escallonia 'Iveyi' is probably the most cold hardy of the Escallonias.  We typically can not grow Escallonia here (very commonly grown on West coast) but 'Iveyi' has been at Juniper Level Botantical garden for a number of years with no damage at all even into the low teens.  Escallonia 'Iveyi' makes a large shrub that can easily be pruned smaller, with small evergreen leaves and is covered with clusters of white flowers and would be useful as a low screening plant, mixed into a shrub border or as a background plant in a perennial garden.  Very unusual to be able to grow one in the SE USA but here you go!
