Gardenia augusta 'Variegata' is a broadleaf, evergreen shrub with green leaves margined ivory and fragrant white flowers in the summer. Gardenia augusta 'Variegata' is probably the best of the variegated Gardenias - it has the same extreme cold hardiness you get from the species Gardenia augusta (much more cold hardy than Gardenia radicans or Gardenia jasminoides) but with the addition of beautiful variegated leaves. Gardenia augusta 'Variegata' can be used in mass plants, mixed shrub plantings or as a specimen and produces beautifully fragrant, single white flowers in the summer. Gardenia augusta 'Variegata' is a fantastic landscape plant and if a great choice for those of you that are on the cold edge of where you can grow a Gardenia.
